"If We E'er See Once again" is a song past American producer Timbaland. Information technology was released on December 1, 2009, as the fourth single from his third studio album Shock Value Two (2009). The song features vocalist Katy Perry and served as the album'due south 2nd worldwide single. Timbaland'due south blood brother Sebastian also has uncredited vocals at the end of the song. "If We Ever Run across Once more" reached number one in the Czech Democracy and New Zealand while peaking within the top 10 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, French republic, Germany, Ireland, State of israel, Italy, Kingdom of norway, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, and the Great britain. The song was later included on the deluxe edition of Perry's third studio album Teenage Dream.

Timbaland told MTV that volition.i.am'south work on "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas inspired him to make "If We E'er Meet Again": "When I did this vocal, I was in dear with this record called..... you're gonna be surprised. The record didn't have annihilation to do with ['If We E'er Come across Once more'], but when I heard [the Black Eyed Peas'] "I Gotta Feeling", I said, 'I want a record just similar that on my album.' I said, 'I gotta do me a "I Gotta Feeling" tape.' Me and 1 of my producers, Jim Beanz, we came up with this concept. I said, '["I Gotta Feeling"] is happy, only I similar information technology.' It gives a expert feeling".[1] On the record, Timbaland sings, instead of raps: "It's non like it'due south incredible singing, only it made sense for me and it fits my voice," he explained. The music video was filmed in December 2009. The video, rather than focusing on a serious relationship, equally mentioned to a higher place, focuses on the love story between a jewel thief (Julian Graham) and an fine art thief (Nadine Heimann), interspersed with Perry and Timbaland singing. In the original video Katy Perry appears in black girdle and blackness leather as in underwear, while Timbaland in the whole office of the clip was in a brown Jacket and with a flat cap on his caput. The jewel thief and art thief take note of each other when both are present at an art exhibit opening. The gem thief steals a necklace, only caches it (rather than trying to remove it from the bounds). The gem thief is later taken in by law for questioning about an art theft, only is released when the fine art thief secretly returns what she has stolen. Equally the precious stone thief leaves the police station, the art thief is waiting for him exterior, and the ii bring together forces (dressed in black wearing apparel and masks) to steal the original necklace and painting from the get-go of the video.

Chart operation [edit]

In the Republic of Ireland, "If Nosotros Ever Meet Over again" entered at number xv on January 28, 2010, and calendar week later rose to a current acme of number three.

Similarly, in the United Kingdom, the single entered at number 17 on Jan 31, 2010, and one calendar week later jumped to its top of number three. The single reached number one in New Zealand on Feb xv, 2010, catastrophe Stan Walker'southward 10-calendar week number one reign with "Black Box". The song was at number 1 for 4 weeks, earlier it was replaced at number one past J. Williams with "You Got Me".

The song originally peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 98, but and then re-entered at number 96 on the issue engagement April 10, 2010. It has peaked at number 37 in the United states, making information technology the third highest-charting unmarried on the album.
